8 Steps to Your New Home
Initial Review and Bank Pre-Qualification
Before we can begin with your new home, we will want to get you approved for the purchase through a local
mortgage company or bank of your choice. Upon financing approval, we begin the process by selecting an area
where you want to live. In Real Estate there has always been the saying, “Location, Location, Location”. This
concept certainly holds true when selecting a perfect site for your new home. Once we know the limitations of your
lot, we will be able to design your new home to fit your needs.
Preliminary Design
Working with you, we will asses your basic needs and desires for your new home. We will then draft up preliminary
drawings for your review and corrections. Upon finalizing all of your ideas on paper, we will begin the next phase.
Working Drawings & Permits
Upon receiving all your ideas, we will begin the process if completing the working drawings. By using the latest
AutoCAD or Solid Builder computer design software, we will be able to design accurate and complete working
drawings of your home. You will be able to view 3D renderings of your new home before the foundation is even
started. By viewing your new home on the computer first, we will be able to alleviate potential problems in the
construction phase. Also, we use an up to date computer-aided estimating software that will provide an accurate
cost estimate before construction begins.
During the working drawings phase, you will still have time to review the drawings and make any changes that you
wish. Remember, this is your home we are designing for you. Upon finalizing the working drawings, we will submit
them to the building department for their review and building permit approval.
Pre-Construction Meeting
We believe that you the new home owner should be involved at every step in the creation of your new home. We
would like to invite you to a “Pre-Construction Meeting” where you will meet the “General Contractor” as well as the
other contractors involved in building your home. A "Project Time Schedule" will be created and you will be given a
copy so that you can track the progress along the way.
Ground Breaking- The Beginning of Something Great
Bring your camera and take as many pictures as you like. This is your new home, a huge investment and
something we want you to be proud to own. We also invite you to check on the progress of your new home as
often as you like. This is your home and we are here to build it the way you want it. If there are ever any
questions or any concerns during the progress of construction, we want you to bring those concerns to our
attention right away. Working together we will build you that home of your dreams.
Final Inspection and Certificate of Occupancy
Start packing because you are almost ready to move in. We at C-TERI Construction, LLC will ensure that your
new home conforms to all state and local building codes before the final inspection. Once the building department
issues a “Certificate of Occupancy” we will be ready to close the deal and let you move in right away.
Closing Documents, Final Paperwork & Move In Day
You are now ready to purchase your new home. Since you are all ready pre-approved by your mortgage company
and you have contracted with C-TERI Construction, LLC to build your new home, a Realtor is not necessary unless
you prefer to hire one. We can assist you on the purchase of your new home without the need for an expensive
Realtor. This helps us to sell the home to you at a more affordable cost.
Once a Client, Always a Friend
Every C-TERI Construction, LLC new home carries a comprehensive full one-year warranty from the date of
purchase. That means that if any appliance fails, any door knob loosens, or any settling damage should occur, C-
TERI Construction, LLC will fix or replace those items at no additional cost to you.
